The multimodal representation of criminal syndicates in documentaries

This project is offered at the Campus Sint-Andries (Antwerp). The present project focuses on the multimodal representation of (Italian) crime syndicates. It will investigate the identity construction of the maffias and representation of the social actors involved in crime (ranging from the criminals over law enforcement and counter movements to victims and witnesses).

The project will consist in the detailed analysis of a limited corpus of documentaries on crime syndicates (in Italian and/or other languages).

Prerequisites

  • Graduate in Italian.
  • Minimum GPA 3.4
